Wreaths & Mistletoe: A gathering of friends for holiday cheer and crafting

My favorite thing to do is put on experiences for friends and family. Even for a simple dinner & hang at our house, I always plan a little treat or surprise for my guests. We had just moved into our new home in Wilsonville and was ready to host family and friends for the holidays. We kicked off the season with a Wreath Party for a few of my favorite ladies in my life.
I have taken so many creative classes at Makerspace Sellwood, one of which is their wreath making class which I have taken a couple of times. So good! I took my learnings from those classes and decided to make that the centerpiece of my next party.

All levels of skillsets can do this activity and the supplies are very simple. With Trader Joe's great assortment of seasonal greenery during this time of year, it makes this craft very reasonable.

The trick is to make little bundles of greenery (roughly 10-12 bundles), Then, wrap the wire around the frame across the bundles one at a time as you overlap them until completing the cirlce. You can go back in and add additional sprigs, florals, ornaments or ribbons.
For decorations, I kept them quite simple. I had our home already decorated for the holidays with our trees up and and festive trimmings. For the party, I used a roll of craft paper and white acrylic markers to draw freehand wreaths and to write their names at each place setting. The counter was also covered in craft paper and I added my illustrations of food items, holiday icons and welcome messages to finish the look. We all contributed yummy snacks and desserts.

And, of course, I surprised them with a holiday goody bag filled with homemade desserts, vanilla extract, and buttered rum!
It was a simple and small event, but perfect for us to enjoy crafting and gabbing with the girls.
For supplies, aside from the greenery, I purchased what I needed on Amazon. Here is what you will need:
